TERMS OF SERVICE

These Website Terms describe the general scope of services offered by Phil’s Handy Service® and apply to website visitors, prospective customers, and individuals requesting information or service through this website.

Service times are estimates and not guarantees. The customer must provide safe, unobstructed access to the work area at the scheduled time. Delays caused by weather, site conditions, material availability, or prior jobs may require rescheduling and additional charges.

All estimates are based on visible conditions and the information provided at the time of inspection. Pricing may change if conditions differ from those originally observed or described. Estimates are valid for a limited time and may expire if not accepted.

Payment is due according to the terms stated in the approved estimate or invoice. Unless otherwise specified, payment is due upon completion of work. Late or unpaid balances may result in work stoppage, additional fees, or collection efforts as permitted by law.

Any work requested beyond the original scope must be approved before proceeding. Changes may affect pricing, scheduling, and completion time. Verbal approval may be accepted for minor changes; significant changes will be documented in writing.

Materials supplied by the customer are accepted as-is. Phil’s Handy Service® is not responsible for defects, incompatibility, missing parts, delays, or warranty issues related to customer-supplied materials. Additional labor required due to unsuitable materials will be billed separately.

Phil’s Handy Service® is not responsible for hidden or pre-existing conditions, including concealed damage, code violations, mold, rot, pest damage, or outdated wiring or plumbing. Discovery of such conditions may require additional work or referral to a licensed specialist.

Labor workmanship is warranted for a limited period following completion, excluding normal wear, misuse, environmental exposure, or manufacturer defects. This warranty applies only to labor performed and does not cover materials or products supplied by third parties.

Reasonable care is taken to protect surrounding areas; however, incidental or cosmetic damage may occur when working on older or previously modified structures. To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service provided.

Customers are responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, including securing pets, children, and personal belongings. Phil’s Handy Service® reserves the right to stop work if unsafe conditions exist until they are corrected.

Appointments canceled or rescheduled with insufficient notice may be subject to a service charge. Phil’s Handy Service® reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service due to non-payment, unsafe conditions, misrepresentation of scope, or abusive behavior.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the state in which the work is performed. Use of this website does not create a contractor-client relationship. Phil’s Handy Service® may update these terms at any time without prior notice.

Any dispute arising from or related to services provided by Phil’s Handy Service® or use of this website shall be resolved in the state and county in which the work was performed. The parties agree to attempt informal resolution prior to pursuing legal action. Nothing herein limits either party’s right to seek relief in small-claims court where applicable.

All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos, and layout, is the property of Phil’s Handy Service® or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent. Unauthorized use may result in legal action.

These Terms of Service are effective as of January 1, 2026, and apply to all website use and service inquiries occurring on or after this date.
